Grilled Tomato and Cheese

Toasty bread, cheese, and tomato. So simple, and perfect for the end of summer.

Ingredients
  • 4 slices Thick Cut White Bread
  • 1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 2 slices American Cheese
  • 4 slices Thin-cut tomato ( )
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 2 ounces, weight Fresh Mozzarella, Thinly Sliced
Directions
  1. Preheat a grill to medium heat. Smear both sides of all slices of bread with a thin layer of mayo.
  2. Grill the bread on the first side for 3-5 minutes until grill marks form. Flip, and add a layer of American cheese, then tomato, salt and pepper, and mozzarella on the toasted sides of half of the slices of bread.
  3. Top the mozzarella with the remaining slices bread. Flip the sandwiches one or two more times to melt the cheese, then let rest off the grill for a minute or two before serving.
